Teresa Foutz - District Nurse

My name is Teresa Foutz. This is my 10th year as the District Nurse and Health Services Director for the Bayfield School District. I was born and raised in this area and chose to move back almost 13 years ago so that I could raise my son here and be closer to my family. I truly love our surrounding mountains, the climate, and the people. My experience prior to becoming a district nurse includes emergency medicine, cardiac care, and orthopedics. I am grateful to be in a position which allows me to assist our students and their families with any health care needs that they may have.

Kelli Wagner - BPS Health / Administrative Assistant

My name is Kelli Wagner. This is my first year with the BSD. I was the Health Service Provider at Escalante Middle School in Durango the last two years and have been an Licensed Vocational Nurse since 2005. My husband and I have three children in the district and I am excited to be part of the team! We moved to the area about two and a half years ago and now call Bayfield our hometown. Our family loves anything that involves being outdoors.

Mera Debenham - BIS Health / Administrative Assistant

My name is Mera Debenham, and I am truly honored to be part of the team at Bayfield Intermediate School. I am a Colorado native and have enjoyed living in the Southwest for the past 20 years. Outside of school, I’m a proud mom of two wonderful girls who keep life full of energy and joy. As a family, we love spending time outdoors, whether it’s camping, swimming, or hitting the slopes in the winter.

I am passionate about creating a welcoming, supportive environment where every student feels comfortable and confident. I believe school should be a place where children are encouraged to grow not only academically, but also as kind, resilient individuals. I am excited to partner with students, families, and colleagues to help make this school year a positive and rewarding experience for all.

Kodie Martinez - BMS Health / Administrative Assistant

My name is Kodie Martinez. I was born and raised in Durango and now reside in Bayfield. My background includes working in the veterinary industry and in the medical field for a combined 20 years. My husband Anthony and I are proud parents of our son AJ. Our family also includes our two beloved dogs, Bella and Missy. I enjoy spending time with my family, watching our son play sports, cooking and baking delicious recipes, and being outdoors. I am blessed to be in this position which allows me to care for our students and assist them with any medical care that they may need.

Andrea Queen - BHS Health Assistant and Registrar

My name is Andrea Queen. I am entering my 6th year with the Bayfield School District. Although born in Kansas, I have called Southwest Colorado home since I was a toddler. I am the youngest of eight and family is what I love the most. I graduated from Bayfield High School in 2001 and am an absolute Wolverine through and through! I am a proud mother to two sons and our Alaskan Shepard, Moose. I enjoy spending my time watching my boys on the baseball field and on the basketball court, as well as time spent with our large close-knit extended family. I am honored to serve our beautiful community and the students and staff of Bayfield.
