8th Grade Career Exploration Field Trip – BIS

- Departure at 8:00 AM
- Return approximately 9:30–9:40 AM
Destination:
- Bayfield Intermediate School (BIS)
Participants:
- 8th grade students participating in Career Exploration
- Approximately 40 students attending
Trip Leader & Staff:
- Trip Leader: Poul Heminger
- Attending Staff: Nicole Machallister
Purpose of the Trip:
- Students will present their Career Exploration final projects
- Each student will share their selected career cluster with BIS students
- This experience builds presentation skills, confidence, and career awareness
Curriculum Connection:
- Career Exploration coursework
- Final project presentations aligned to career pathways
Student Expectations / What to Bring:
- Chromebooks for presentations
Meals & Costs:
- No sack lunches needed
- No cost to students
- No impact on school lunch counts
Permissions & Communication:
- Families will be informed by April 20, 2026
- Permission slips due by April 20, 2026
- This trip is part of the Career Exploration final project
