Meet the Health Team!
My name is Teresa Foutz. This is my sixth year as the District Nurse for the Bayfield School District. I was born in Durango in 1972 and grew up on a small ranch in this area. I became an RN in 2002. I spent the majority of my time working at Saint Mary's Emergency Room Department in Grand Junction, Colorado before moving back to this area in 2010. Becoming a part of the Bayfield School District has been a wonderful change! I feel blessed to be able to help the children with any health needs or concerns that they or their parents might have.
My name is Melissa Malone and this is my 5th year working for the school district. I was born in Carmel California and moved to Bayfield when I was 12. I have been married for 19 years and have 2 amazing boys. I love playing in my flower beds and watching my kiddos sporting events.
Hello, I am CadySue Duncan
I became a nurse in 1992 and have worked in many areas in the nursing field. My latest job was from home transcribing medical reports for many years. This was great while my kids were growing up but they are now young adults and I am very excited to be the Health Assistant at BIS and interact wtih all the staff, parents, teachers, and especially the kiddos. My family and I moved to Bayfield in 2002 and we enjoy camping, fishing, 4-wheeling, family, and friends.
I'm Donnel Gonzales. I was born and raised in Bayfield. I've been working with the school district for about 13 years. This is my 7th year as attendance secretary at BMS and my first year as part time health assistant. I love to be around my family and friends every chance I get!
My name is Tawnya Thayer and I am the Health Assistant/Registrar for BHS. My family moved to Bayfield in 2015 and we absolutely love it. My husband and I have three children, one attends K-State and the other two attend BHS. I have a B.S. in Biology, as well as a Colorado Teaching License and have been with the district for four years. If I get a spare moment I love to read but most of my free time is spent attending high school sports and activities. Go Wolverines!!
