Bayfield School Board meets Tuesday

The board will hold interviews for the three finalists selected for the school superintendent position — Andy Burns, Dr. Dylan Connell and Bill Hesford. In addition to interviewing before the board, the three candidates will also be interviewed by a pair of different stakeholder groups. The interviews will be held in three sessions — 9:00 to 10:30 a.m.; 10:35 a.m. to 12:05 p.m.; 12:55 to 2:25 p.m. — with reports from the two stakeholder groups being delivered to the board from 2:35 to 2:55 p.m. The board will then convene in executive session to discuss the interviews and prioritize one or more finalists and instruct representatives to begin contract negotiations with one or more of the candidates. The board intends to reconvene in open session to name the final candidate chosen to fill the superintendent vacancy. If the board is unable to reach agreement on Tuesday, April 29, they will meet again on Wednesday, April 30, at the Bayfield School District Administrative Building to deliberate further.

The meeting will be live-cast via YouTube, and the agenda and link to the video cast can be found here. There will be no opportunity for public comment during the special session.
