Bayfield School Board meets Tuesday

The board will view a presentation from Chamberlin and Cuningham, the firms who have been assisting the district and community in developing a facility master plan. The newly selected Student Representative to the Board of Education will be introduced, and there will be reports from the superintendent and board members, as well as a Health Services Update. The board will hear a report on the district’s request for a reconsideration of the School Performance Framework rating for Bayfield Middle School, and will discuss the Facility Use Handbook, a draft 2025-26 school calendar and an update on the district’s Title IX policy. The board is anticipated to approve a number of personnel changes and the district’s Mill Levy Certification, and will consider approval of policies governing procurement, treatment of injuries at school, hiring and response to violent or aggressive behavior. The board plans to conclude the meeting with an executive session related to the superintendent’s annual performance evaluation as required by state statute.

The meeting will be live-cast via YouTube, and the agenda and link to the video cast can be found here. Anyone wishing to participate in the regularly scheduled public comment must be present at the meeting in person. Although it is not required, you may sign up for public comment ahead of time here.
