7th and 8th Grade ELA Make a Difference

Students were inspired throughout the year to be part of their local communities and larger global perspectives by raising funds for others. In September, students raised money for several local organizations including La Plata Humane Society, the Women’s Shelter and Community Center, helped campaign for Upper Pine Fire Station, and wrote letters to the Children’s Hospital and Senior Center. This May, students raised money for folks affected by war. In total, BMS ELA students in Mrs. Gerrits's class raised nearly $2000.

Thank you to all who participated, including Bayfield Blooms and parents of 7th and 8th graders who helped with the bake sale!
